Supporting DAS-Hutchinson: A British Women’s UCI Continental Cycling Team
For us at ValetPRO seeing vehicles kept looking their best is what we are all about, and to be honest, the more challenging the conditions, the more satisfying it is when we see our products working. So when Simon Howes, Sports Director from DAS-Hutchinson – a British UCI Continental women’s cycling team – contacted us for products to maintain their team vehicles in top condition we said yes.
DAS-Hutchinson have been around since 2017 with a race programme that grows every year and they now race some 75 days per year, across the UK and Europe, securing invites to some of the most prestigious races in the calendar. The team run 2 team cars and 2 vans which they use to support the 18 riders on their team as they compete at the some of the highest levels in the sport. The logistical arrangements are extensive with each of the vehicles doing around 15,000 miles per year, not to mention the hard conditions they face when in the pack of team cars following the peloton or positioning team staff along the course to support the riders. All this means that the crucial job of ensuring the team are presentable, and their sponsors shown off to the best effect, is as quick and easy as possible using ValetPRO products.
To take care of the exterior of the vehicles, which have had an amazing wrap on them, the team have used our pre-wash and shampoo products:

Simon Howes talks about the team success this year: “The Individual & Team classification in both road series & crit series are a focus every season, we fully support the UK series races with riders & funding.
The Team Classification is a way of all the riders being on the podium celebrating success, which doesn’t happen if a rider is not in the top 3 positions. It’s a great way to recognise that winning individually can only be achieved with great team mates supporting you.”
Talking about the moments they are most proud of Simon continues: ” There is always so many moments every season & often it’s not just the winning of the races, for example being on the start line of 5 Women’s World Tour races is just incredible. Saying we started in the Tour of Flanders is just insane, but to then start to watch live coverage and see we had Aoife O’Brien in the break of the day was what we could of only dreamed of 6 years ago when the team started.
Tiffany combativity award at the Women’s World Tour, Tour of Britain was special, great for her but also a lot of hours on live TV which is important for our partners.”
