Bilberry Wheel Cleaner VS Dragon’s Breath

Which ValetPRO wheel cleaner is right for you?

When it comes to wheels, choosing the right wheel cleaner can be quite confusing.  This blog is intended to lend a helping hand when it comes to picking the right one for you and your wheels.

Painted and lacquered wheels are fairly immune to even the harshest of cleaners; polished and split wheels is where it gets a bit more tricky… Making sure your chosen cleaner is safe to use is fundamental!

Through the years there’s been some noticeable confusion between our wheel cleaners. As a quick overview, we have two different wheel cleaners: Bilberry Wheel Cleaner and Dragons Breath.

Although Dragons Breath is referred to as a wheel cleaner it is actually an iron contamination fallout remover and is pH neutral, meaning it’s safe to use on all wheel types and also safe to use on paintwork for the chemical non-contact decontamination stage.

Bilberry Wheel Cleaner is our alkaline wheel cleaner with a neat pH of 13.56, making it an extremely strong but effective wheel cleaner with great dilution ratios. We only recommend this to be used on painted or lacquered wheels. Do note that since it is an alkaline, any coating or sealants/waxes will be stripped upon use; Dragon’s Breath would be the better choice to maintain your protection.
