Description

Working as part of a team to support the development and manufacture of high quality vehicle cleaning & protection products. All production duties, prioritising production and testing and carrying out quality control checks of chemical reagents.

Responsibilities

  • Handling and mixing of chemicals from new and established formulations in accordance with the bill of materials and standard operating procedures.
  • Sampling and carrying out quality control checks on chemicals and chemical reagents.
  • Carry out testing of new and existing formulations to ensure that required compliance and quality standards are met and making corrections where required.
  • Operating and maintaining mixing equipment safely and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
  • Reporting on and maintaining records of product testing and associated test results. 
  • Work efficiently and safely in all production areas, to ensure production requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Ensure all work is done to correct standards, completed on time and to deadlines, without error and with the minimum of supervision and monitoring.
  • Work flexibly and to the highest standards of performance in all areas, as required by the Production & Despatch Manager.
  • Use the ERP system to maintain accurate records for stock control and production monitoring purposes.
  • Support R&D project work as required.
  • Carry out other warehouse and production duties.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.

Skills

  • Fork lift licence (Desirable)
  • Previous experience within a similar role in a manufacturing environment (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of chemical mixing (Desirable)
  • Chemistry Degree (Desirable)

Education Requirements

  • A Level Chemistry (Minimum)
